Founder of Elijah House Austria: Simon and Dagmar Pollit
After discovering the depth of wisdom in the teachings of Elijah House, Simon and Dagmar Pollit had the blessing of being taught by John, Paula and the other Elijah House teachers in 1994. They were very blessed during the school and knew that this was the best teaching for them to use. In 1995 they returned to Idaho in oder to complete the full internship. It was during this time that they developed a close friendship with John & Paula as well as with the other counsellors and staff at Elijah House.
Simon, born in England, arrived in Austria in 1990 in responce to the Lord's calling 5 years earlier to leave England and serve full time in Austria. His church fellowship
(St. Barnabas) equipped him and helped support him in the early days. Before leaving he trained and practised as an Osteopath and Naturopath in London.Dagmar, born in Graz, trained and practised as a physiotherapist before they met in 1992 in Graz. They married the following year and soon were aware of the mutual calling to lay their professions aside to form this ministry.
Ever since their return to Austria they have been used to bless Christians near and far, seeing many being blessed through the message of reconciliation and restoration. In 1997 they established the Non Profit Organisation "Elijah House Austria".The first 5 years were spent in Graz before they moved to Pitten in summer 2000.
Founder of Elijah House: John and Paula Sandford
John and Paula Sandford are co-founders of Elijah House, Inc., an international ministry established in 1975 in response to the Lord's calling in Malachi 4:5,6 and Matthew 17:11
They have traveled extensively teaching the biblical principles of repentance and forgiveness, highlighting the transforming power of Jesus' death and resurrection, meant to free us from all sin. They are considered pioneers in the prophetic and healing movements of our day.
John graduated from theological seminary with an M. Div. in Religion and personality. He pastored churches in Illinois, Kansas, and Idaho for 21 years before founding Elijah House. Paula was active in the churches in music and Christian education and also taught English and Spanish in the public high school for several years. She joined her husband in the team ministry of Elijah House from its beginning and was ordained in 1995.
John and Paula have walked in the Holy Spirit since they experienced the baptism of the Spirit in 1958. They have been married since 1951, have 6 children, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
